Conexus-ACE Amalgamation Update
08-24-2010
Last week was a busy week for the Conexus-ACE amalgamation project team as preparations for conversion continued. As communicated last week in a letter from Dan Kirby, vice-president of retail services, the team is committed to making the transition from ACE Credit Union to Conexus as easy and comfortable as possible for all members. Starting this week ACE Credit Union representatives will be contacting ACE members to review individual financial needs and facilitate the membership and account transfers.
In preparation for the conversion of memberships and accounts, the project team has conducted a thorough review of the products offered through ACE Credit Union and compared them to Conexus offerings. ACE representatives have received product training and are prepared to help ACE members choose accounts and products to meet their needs.
Though the ACE representatives will conduct individual and detailed reviews with each member there are several product and service highlights that we are pleased to share.
· Firstly, Conexus will continue to administer the loan benefit program that members currently enjoy with ACE Credit Union. As is the practice at ACE Credit Union, the program will be subject to regular reviews for changes and enhancements. Conexus will facilitate the next review of the program prior to the 2012 budgeting process.
· Conexus Credit Union offers a large selection of demand accounts and account packages. Here are some products and features that will now be available to ACE members:
o cheque writing privileges on select demand account products;
o decrease in minimum balance requirements for free service charges on package accounts;
o a selection of account packages options that can help you reduce or eliminate service fees (depending on type of account and usage);
o a number of transactional interest bearing accounts (with or without cheque writing privileges) as well as a High Interest Savings Account;
o a selection of term deposit options with very competitive rates.
· CUETS will be honouring the same rates and fees that ACE members currently receive on credit card products and new credit cards will be issued once current cards have expired.
· All Global Payment Cards and Member Card Debit Cards will be replaced and ACE members will receive the new cards in the mail.
· Conexus offers a complete range of financial solutions including credit union banking services/ financial planning, investment, real estate, mortgage brokerage, personal and general insurance. Our credit unions provide personalized service at 46 branches across the province. CENTURY 21 Conexus Realty Ltd. is Saskatchewan's largest real estate company with six locations in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw and Prince Albert. With seven locations across the province, Conexus Insurance will ensure that members have the right coverage to suit their needs. CENTUM Canada Mortgage Direct Ltd. can provide an extensive selection of mortgage products and experience in comparing loans, terms and rates of mortgages.
· Once ACE members have transferred their accounts and memberships to Conexus, they will have access to TeleService telephone banking. TeleService representatives are available from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 4pm Saturday at 1-800-667-7477.
Just a reminder that the conversion of accounts and products from ACE Credit Union to Conexus must be completed during the months of August and September to ensure the support of third parties such as Celero, CUPS and CUETS.
We are excited to welcome our new members to Conexus and look forward to serving their financial needs. If you would like learn more about all that Conexus has to offer please feel free to visit us online at www.conexus.ca.
